Water-erasing of horizontal road marking sign

Thanks to our special vehicles we are able to remove horizontal road signs, on any surface and of any type. We can remove in a single step the horizontal road signs measuring from 15 cm up to 100 cm in width.

We have furtherly developed an optical control system, which autonomously follows the signs to be erased and automatically detects the treated surface. The resulting outcome material (paints, color residues, etc.,) are sucked up at the same time and collected in a tank on the truck. At the end of the processing, all the material is to be taken to an authorized landfill. Our system allows us to adjust to various parameters, such as nozzles, speed and pressure, so as not to attack aggressively or damage the road surface.

Suitable road surface preparation by shot peening/blasting or high pressure water

With our special vehicles we can treat any type of road surface according to the customer’s needs, like colour revive, roughen or simply clean the road surface from residues.

The various application systems such as shot peening and hydro-discharge allow us to solve various problems on road surfaces and offer them improved to Road System Managers.

Shot peening/blasting:

With this system it is possible to treat dry and grease-free horizontal surfaces. The advantage of shot peening for road safety purposes is represented by the ability to increase the degree of grip as well as the macro-micro texture. This kind of procedure also makes the clearing of the road surface more effective in tunnels, which is an essential issue important for both users and Road System managers. Another field of application are test tracks and car circuits, for which homogeneous adherence over the entire route is of vital importance for comparative measurements.

Hydro-discharge:

With our special very high pressure vehicles we are able to roughen concrete surfaces, remove rubber residues or perform hydro-erasing operations. With a working pressure that can reach up to 3000bar we are able to treat any surface adequately. Compared to processing by shot peening, it is possible to discover the “granular structure” and remove the damaged cement. The surface obtained is rough and very gripping for the laying of the new concrete casting. These processes can also be carried out even in the event of rain or on wet surfaces.

Road surface preparation by means of shot peening

Shot peening is performed according to DIN 8200. Shot peening is a tested and qualified technology for surface preparation.

By means of an electric rotating centrifuge, small steel spheres are projected at high speed (approx. 300 km / h) onto the surface to be treated. Thanks to the contact energy produced by the granular abrasive, a roughening of the surface is generated. The material removed together with the microspheres is conveyed directly into the storage tank. The lighter material and the dust are sucked up and stored in special Big Bags, while the microspheres are recycled through a magnetic drum and put back into the circuit. The system can only be used on horizontal, dry and grease-free surfaces. The advantage of shot peening is the increase in micro and macro texture, it is also important to lighten and clear the road surface.
Thanks to this process, a high degree of adhesion is obtained. As a matter of fact, optimizing adhesion in dangerous points is of great importance for the Motorway Net Operational Managers. Another field of application consists of test tracks and car circuits for which homogeneous adherence along the entire route is essential for comparative measurements.
